This week Tony Anagor, managing director of LifestyleDMC, was invited to Hong Kong and China to meet with Telcoms giant and major players in the Mobile World Congress Huawei. LifestyleDMC, a Barcelona based corporate events agency have been working with Smartcom, the VIP travel subsidiary of Huawei, for 2 years, and in 2015 were proudly announced as the official suppliers for experiences and travel activities in Spain for Smartcom.

Tony was invited to further understand the needs and requirements of Huawei and to gain first hand knowledge of the telecoms behemoth and its staff.

Tony spent 2 days in Hong Kong visiting the  Smartcom offices and learning in detail how requests are generated and handled. “ It was a pleasure to meet the key players in Smartcom Hong Kong”, says Tony. “It was great to put names to faces of the people whom up until now had only been names on an email. We discussed how we could work better and improve communications as well as various other detailed administrative functions”

After the trip to Hong Kong, Tony flew to the Huawei head office in Shenzhen. Shenzhen is a relatively new area of China based in the Guangdong Province north of Hong Kong. It is only about 30 years old and anyone visiting this city cannot fail to be impressed by the vibe of industrial fervour on clear display.

Huawei chose this city to base their head office. It could better be described as a small town, home 50,000 employees. The tour of the campus took most of the day, with various pre-arranged visits, from the actual work stations of the colleagues that have collaborated with LifestyleDMC for the last 2 mobile world congresses, to the impressive exhibition centre where one can get a feel for the true magnitude to the company and how they are shaping the future with technology.

After lunch, all parties sat to discuss business. The meetings were fruitful and creative and LifestyleDMC learnt of some of the ideas and themes for the Mobile World Congress 2016.

“We are excited and very pleased to be involved with Huawei again this year”, says Tony. “We have some new and creative ideas that we know will help make next year’s MWC a roaring success. We are dedicated to helping our visitors unlock the Lifestyle of the city by offering amazing, wow experiences with only the best partners all backed up by the integrity of service that we have become know for”
